## Winch available with choice of 26500# rated synthetic cable or wire rope at same price. Steel wire rope has tendency to fray over time so may require gloves to protect hands from steel fray and is stiffer than synthetic however steel cables retain strength and last longer than synthetic. Synthetic is lighter flexible and easier to handle with higher initial break strength compared to steel but is more vulnerable to cuts and abrasions reducing it's strength over time causing it to have a shorter life span before needing replacement.
